Judie Shapiro

Judie Shapiro passed away peacefully the morning of April 24, 2026. Judie was a devoted wife of 61 years to Buzz (deceased).

She leaves behind her brother, Bobby Wasserstrom (Karen); daughters, Stacey Katz (Rob) and Suzy Riesenberg (Rich); and son, Scott Shapiro (Jill). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Samantha Eshbach (Cole), Jaime Rowley (Jack), Lindsay King (Bryan), Amanda Riesenberg (Nick), Andy Katz (Megan), and Melanie Shapiro (Jon). The light of Judie’s life are her greatest grandchildren Ava, Emma, Jordan, Rowan and Luna.

Judie was born August 24, 1941, to Gert and Eli Wasserstrom in Wilkes-Barre. Judie was an X-ray technician when she met and married Buzz. Buzz and Judie raised their three kids at 2nd and Cheltenham Avenue, then moved to Laverock, PA. Through the years, Judie and Buzz spent time down the shore, in Las Vegas, and in Aruba. Judie enjoyed Mahjong, Canasta, shopping, getting together with friends, and especially spending time with family. Family was a very important part of Judie’s life. Once becoming empty nesters, they moved to Briar Woods and in 2020 moved to Anne’s choice.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name can be made to a charity of your choice.

Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 3:30 PM at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Funeral Directors Suburban North, 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA 18966. There will be no cemetery services. 

Following services, the family will return to Suzy and Rich’s house. Shiva will continue on Tuesday night from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Minyan will be at 7:00 PM both nights. Please park on the side of the street that has sidewalks.
