Judi Seltzer Rosen passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of learning, creativity, and love that touched countless lives.
She grew up in Philadelphia with her sister Arlene, in the Germantown area. She was an exceptional student, and she graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pennsylvania. For over three decades, Judi devoted herself to shaping young minds as an English teacher in the Philadelphia School District, teaching at Olney High School and later Northeast High School. She found profound significance in volunteering. Retirement rekindled her passion for education; she volunteered at Abington Library, where she tutored more than 100 foreign students in English and American idioms, opening doors to new opportunities and helping them find their voice in a new language. She also volunteered for many years in other capacities including one of her favorites -- interacting with patients at Abington Hospital.
Judi's creative spirit and talents knew no bounds. She found joy in stained glass, painting and exploring a variety of other forms of art, including crafting poetry that captured life's moments. She loved games and enjoyed playing them with her family and friends. She was a lifelong avid reader. She cherished traveling with her beloved husband Steve, creating memories together whether exploring new destinations or enjoying the magic of Disney no matter her age.
Judi is survived by her adoring and devoted husband Steve; her three children: Stacey Goldberg (Mitchell), Scott Dubow (Susan), and Bryn Michaels (Jeffrey); and nine loving grandchildren: Jordyn, Adam, Ally, Dani, Jake, Chloe, Abby, Sloane, and Paige, all of whom will forever treasure memories of her.
A teacher, volunteer, artist, and devoted wife, Judi's impact will resonate for generations to come.
Services and interment are private. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research. Hospital, www.stjude.org or the Abington Free Library, www.abingtonfreelibrary.org/donate
