Joyce Libby (Marcus) Simon June 8, 1937, to August 20, 2022 – Wife of William “Bill” Simon who proceeded her in death on October 11, 2015. Mother of Jeffrey Simon, Stacy Simon and Jason (Wendy) Simon. Sister of Shirlee (Marcus) Kremer. Loving grandmother of Erik (Brittany) Simon, Haley Simon and Casey Simon. Joyce was a terrific wife, mother, sister and grandmom who was always thrilled to share in the successes of her family. She loved to learn and read. Throughout her life she took classes on art and literature while doing her own sculptures and drawings. Her artwork adorned her home in Havertown where she and Bill raised Jeff, Stacy and Jason. She loved the news; especially politics and loved to discuss all things Washington D.C. (notably over the last 6 years). She cherished traveling having been to many places around the globe with Bill, family and friends. She read books galore; from biographies to novels and everything in between and never turned down a good meal especially seafood – particularly fish tacos. Known to many as “Mamma Joyce” she was always quick to be part of the pack with her children’s friends. She always took each of our side in any situation we found ourselves, even if we were disagreeing with each other J. Relatives and Friends are welcome to join us graveside at Roosevelt Memorial Park at 11 AM on Tuesday and then join the family at the home of Jason and Wendy Simon to celebrate Joyce’s wonderful life beginning at 5:30 PM.
