Josephine B. Rosenthal

Josephine "Josey" Rosenthal (nee Berg) passed away peacefully on the morning of March 11, 2024, with her family by her side.  She was 76 years old and grew up in Elkins Park.  She attended Cheltenham High School and University of Pittsburgh.  She will be missed by her family and lots of friends.  She is survived by her husband John, children Jeffrey Rosenthal, daughter Jaime (Jason ) Yanofsky and grandchildren Jake, Jenna and Jesse.  The last 25 years she has fought both breast and lung cancer, and the last 12 years, a form of ALS.  Needless to say, she has always been a fighter with tremendous optimism.   Among many other things, she loved to travel, go to theater, spend time with her many friends and family, and always was in the mood for a great steak dinner.  In her younger days, she was a great tennis player and enjoyed playing golf.   Her endless smiles and joy for life will be missed by all. Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services on Thursday, March 14^th, 2024 at 10:30 AM precisely at GOLDSTEIN’S ROSENBERG’S RAPHAEL-SACKS SUBURBAN NORTH. Interment will be private. Contributions in her memory may be made to PA - Hospital Department of Neurology - ALS.
