Joseph G. "Joe" White

Joseph G. "Joe" White passed away on August 2, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on June 27, 1952, he was the beloved son of Zelda "Zee" Bernstein and a devoted son, loyal friend, and unforgettable presence in the lives of all who knew him.

Joe was larger than life. He possessed a remarkable personality, an infectious sense of humor, and a gift for bringing people together. Whether hosting an intimate dinner or planning a grand celebration, Joe was the ultimate party planner. He delighted in gathering friends around a table, creating memories filled with laughter, good food, and genuine connection.

Joe also had an adventurous spirit and a passion for travel. He loved exploring the world, experiencing new places, meeting people from different cultures, and collecting stories along the way. His travels reflected his curiosity, independence, and enthusiasm for living life to its fullest. Whether close to home or halfway around the globe, Joe embraced every journey with the same confidence and zest that defined his life.

A graduate of Northeast High School, Joe went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Case Western Reserve University. He began his career working for the federal government while pursuing his entrepreneurial dream. That dream became Sun Worshippers, a business he built with dedication and vision. What started as a single venture grew into four successful locations. More importantly to Joe, Sun Worshippers became the foundation for countless lasting friendships that enriched his life.

Joe had an uncanny ability to understand how systems worked. Whether navigating government bureaucracy, business regulations, or everyday challenges, he seemed to instinctively know how to get the very most out of every opportunity. He had a talent for finding every possible loophole—and if one didn't seem to exist, his friends would joke that Joe would somehow create one. His resourcefulness, determination, and cleverness became legendary among those who knew him, and his stories of outsmarting the system were often told with equal parts admiration and laughter.

Joe's friends were his chosen family—his "framily." He was fiercely loyal to them, and they returned that loyalty many times over. They stood beside him throughout his life and lovingly cared for him until the very end, a testament to the deep bonds he cultivated over the years.

A lifelong animal lover, Joe always shared his home with cats. His beloved Archer and Scout were constant companions whose love and companionship brought him comfort and joy, especially in his final years.

Joe was a man who lived entirely on his own terms. Strong-willed, independent, and unwavering, he made his own decisions and stood by them, regardless of the consequences. Even in his final days, he remained true to himself. He often told his friends that he had lived the life he wanted, done the things he chose to do, and had no regrets. That fearless authenticity defined him.

Joe's enormous personality, sharp wit, generosity, adventurous spirit, and steadfast devotion to the people he loved leave an irreplaceable void. His laughter, his legendary gatherings, his travel stories, his clever tales of beating the odds, and his unmistakable presence will be deeply missed by his family, his many friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him. 

His legacy lives on in the friendships he nurtured, the business he built, the celebrations he created, the miles he traveled, and the countless lives he touched simply by being unapologetically, unmistakably Joe.
