Obituary

Jerry Berstein, 90, of Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026.

Jerry was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and businessman, whose kindness, humility, strong values, and quiet strength touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born in Philadelphia on December 9, 1935, Jerry lived a full and purposeful life. As the leader of ImageFIRST, he helped build the company into one of the nation's leading healthcare linen service providers. He was also devoted to serving his community, generously giving his time and leadership to Congregation Ohev Sholom in Wallingford PA, where he held numerous leadership positions and ultimately served as president.

Jerry embraced life with enthusiasm. He enjoyed playing tennis, cycling, staying physically fit, watching the Phillies, and traveling with his beloved wife, Joan. Nothing brought him greater happiness than being surrounded by his family.

While Jerry's accomplishments were many, they are not what those who knew him will remember most. His true legacy is the example he set through the way he lived with humility, generosity, unwavering integrity, and deep devotion to his family and community. He showed that success is measured not only by what we achieve, but by how we treat others and the lives we enrich along the way.

Jerry's memory will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him, and the values he lived by will remain a lasting legacy to his family for generations to come. May his memory be a blessing.

Shiva will be Monday night 6:30-8:30 at the home of Jenny and David.
