
VARELA, JOSE, 40 - of Egg Harbor Township was called home on December 9, 2005 while asleep in his home. He was the loving companion of Blanca Enid Santiago who was also called home while she slept. They were the loving parents of Adiel, Christopher, and Daniel who were left orphaned by this tragedy. Jose was a popular former employee of the Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City. Born in P.R., he was an area resident for many years. Surviving Jose are his children, Adiel, Christopher, and Daniel; his parents, Hermino and Crucita Varela; his sisters, Maritza, Eydamabel, and Neiza; and his brother, Danile. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Vigil Service and viewing at the Roth-Goldsteins' Memorial Chapel today (Wednesday, December 14) at 4 p.m. where a viewing will continue after the service until 9 p.m. The family has requested donations be made to the Varela Children's Fund in lieu of flowers. The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Diane Rhea-Collins, a funeral director at Roth-Goldsteins' Memorial Chapel at New Hampshire and Pacific Avenues in Atlantic City.
