JOAN POLIN

Our family is saddened to share the passing of Joan Polin (ne Skaroff) on April 28, 2020. Joan was predeceased by her husband Jerry Polin. She is survived by daughters Carol (Yossi) Sheffer , Rabbi Mimi Polin (Stephen) Ferraro and Sandra (Michael ) Goldberg. She is survived by 11 grandchildren, Avital (Netanel), Eitan (Paz), Lior, Yoav, Jocelyn (Zach), Allyson (Zach), Benjamin, Erica, Emily, David and Samantha and great grandmother to Owen. Joan is also survived by her brother Arthur (Debra) Skaroff and nieces and their families. Joan has resided at Abramson Center for Jewish Life for several years where she received excellent care. Joan loved to cook and bake and spent most of her life around food and people. Her favorite job of all was working at Starbucks where she affectionately became known as Bubby Latte. She established a strong Jewish home for her family including a strong connection to Camp Ramah in the Poconos which was one of the greatest influences on who our family is and what it has become. The service will be private due to Covid-19 and no public shiva observed due to the virus as well. Donations in her memory can be made to Camp Ramah in the Poconos-The Debbie Levin Lusana/Leslie Levin Weiss Scholarship Fund at www.ramahpoconos.org/giving /endowments or to Abramson Center for Jewish Life at Abramsonseniorcare.org or at their address 1425 Horsham Road, North Wales, PA 19451. Please designate to the Activities Department.
