JOAN KOOL - LENOBEL passed away at home on April 7, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Stephen Lenobel; Loving mother of Lisa Kool-Behr (Michael Behr), Michael Kool (Stacey), and Mona Kool-Harrington (Paul Harrington); Devoted grandmother of Mikey, Kelly, Kara, Harrison, Gavin, Alex, and Sally. Joan was born and raised in the Philadelphia area before settling in Penn Valley/Narberth where she has resided for the last 50 years. She was fiercely independent, with an entrepreneurial spirit, having owned two successful businesses over the course of her career. Joan loved to travel, and was extremely passionate about the arts, theater, antiquing and cooking. Joan enjoyed spending time with family and friends and socializing over a good meal, whether it be during the holidays with some of her favorite home cooked recipes or making reservations at the the newest hot-spot uncovered from her research. She and her devoted husband Steve shared a love of spending time with their grandchildren; going shopping, attending dance recitals and theater productions, volleyball tournaments and ice hockey games. Her love for the arts influenced her desire to expose her grandchildren to her passion, via visits to various museums and theater performances through their years long memberships at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Walnut Street Theater. Joan will be deeply missed by all who knew her. "What you leave behind, is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others" -Thucydides
