Jill Hope Blackman, born January 30, 1951, in Philadelphia, was the daughter of Dorothy and Morris Blackman. She passed away peacefully on October 28, 2026, following a long period of declining health.
She is survived by her sister, Eileen Cooper, and her close friends. She was predeceased by her beloved brother, Alan Blackman.
Jill had a wonderful appreciation for life’s pleasures. She loved reading, cooking, dining with friends, Philly cheesesteaks, traveling, watching classic movies, and, throughout the years, was devoted to her beloved dogs and cats. Strikingly beautiful, with her dark hair and memorable green eyes, Jill had a warmth and presence that people were drawn to. She was generous and deeply empathetic, always willing to help others, and touched many lives through her kindness. She was loved by many and will be remembered with great affection.
Jill and Alan shared not only a family bond but also a deep commitment to carrying on their family’s legacy. Together, they were devoted business partners in Philip Blackman Beauty and Barber Supply Company, a three-generation family business founded by their grandfather in the Logan section of Philadelphia, with roots dating back to approximately 1921.
Donations in her memory may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 1777 Century Parkway W., Bluebell, PA 19422
