Born in South Philadelphia, Mrs. Burcat was a graduate of Girls High and Temple University. Initially a social worker, she worked for the Israeli consulate in Philadelphia and El Al Airlines. Subsequently, she worked as a travel agent which enabled her to travel the world. She had devoted lifelong friends from South Philly. She enjoyed literature, poetry, and classical music. She was a lover of dogs, cats, and her children.

Devoted wife of the late David Burcat of Haverford, PA. Loving mother of Joel Burcat (Gail) of Harrisburg, PA, Bruce Burcat (Detta) of Camden, DE, Peter Burcat (Suzanne) of Hockessen, DE, and Judi Kary (Bruce) of Souderton, PA. Dear sister of Edith Gollub. Loving grandmother of Dina Burcat, Shira Sarfati (David), Leah Burcat, Rick Burcat, Bryan Burcat, Steven Burcat, David Burcat, Justin Burcat, Wednesday Pupo, and Benjamin Kary. Loving great grandmother of Kai Pupo.

Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services Sunday 12 Noon precisely GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL-SACKS 6410 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA. Int. Mt. Sharon Cemetery, Springfield, PA.

Following burial, visitors will be received at the Quadrangle, 3300 Darby Road, Haverford, PA 19041. Shiva will be observed in Hockessin, Delaware and Harrisburg, PA. Please do not send flowers. Instead, Jessie's charitable interests were social justice, protecting animals, and Jewish causes. Please make a contribution to the charity of your choice.
