SIMONS
JEROME, cantor, teacher, father, grandfather, and uncle, died peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2015, at St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Meadowbrook PA. He worked as a cantor in numerous synagogues through-out the Philadelphia area, before serving as a gabbai for many years at the Congregations of Shaare Shamayim in Northeast Philadelphia. He demanded the best from his students at Frankford High School, where he taught mathematics for 30 years.
Cantor Simons is survived by his wife, Deborah (nee Eisenhofer); his daughter, Esther Simons-Koppel (Barry); his daughter, Lois Made (Carlos); his son, Dov Simons, and his granddaughter, Melissa Made. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services, Sunday, 11 A.M. precisely, at
