October 20, 2019. Of Philadelphia, PA. Beloved father of Heather Shames (David) and Ashley Hecht. Brother of Carole Kafrissen (Arthur). Devoted Zayde of Blake, Maya, and Wynter. Jerry loved listening to big band music from the 1920's. He loved is dog Leah. He enjoyed talking about history and politics. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and loved cooking and sharing his food and recipes. He was regular congregant of Congregation B'nai Abraham in Philadelphia, PA. He will be dearly missed by his loving daughters and family. Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services Wednesday 12 Noon at Montefiore Cemetery, Jenkintown, PA. Shiva will be observed at his late residence Wednesday only starting at 3 PM.
