Jeffrey Charles Trocki (Yechiel Chaim), 60, of Margate, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026. Jeffrey was born in Somers Point on March 19, 1965, he attended Jordan Road School, Eugene A. Tighe School, Holy Spirit High School, and graduated from a Votech Culinary Program. Jeffrey carried his community in his heart wherever he went. He was intelligent, curious, and deeply dedicated to his family.
Jeffrey lit up every room he entered. He was animated, joyful, and full of life. Most of all Jeffrey was a mensch, he was always there to hold the door, greet you with a smile, and make you feel good no matter the circumstance; he celebrated all successes as if they were his own, and turned strangers into family within moments. Jeffrey embraced life’s pleasures with his whole heart. He loved good food and shared meals, was an enthusiastic wrestling fan, and achieved the distinction of earning a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He worked with his sister, Mona, in her office for many years, where his contagious cheerfulness and warmth welcomed all. He was simply a joy to be around, and people were drawn to his genuine sweetness and enthusiasm for life.To be in Jeffrey’s presence was to feel seen, valued, and loved. He was everyone’s biggest fan and truly as he referred to himself, everyone’s best man.
Jeffrey took great pride in his jewish identity. He prayed and wrapped tefillin every day, attended synagogue on shabbat and holidays, and kept kosher his entire life. Not only did he read and speak English, but he read Hebrew beautifully, and even spoke some Yiddish and Hebrew. These languages connected him deeply to his faith, his community, and generations of tradition and allowed him to show his genuine love and belief in G-d.
Above all else, Jeffrey’s greatest love was his family. He was a devoted and cherished brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and great-uncle who took immense pride in each and every one of them. His presence at family gatherings brought laughter, warmth, and a sense that everything was complete. He was pre-deceased by his parents Jack & Mira Trocki, and his sister Dr. Cyla Trocki-Videll. He is survived by his sister Mona Trocki-Ozlek (Ron), his brother Dr. Ira Trocki (Shari), his brother in law Dr. Jared Videll (Sherry). He was a proud and adoring uncle to his nieces and nephews and a treasured great-uncle to their children, all of whom were the recipients of his endless encouragement, affection, and pride.
Jeffrey defied all odds that were stacked against him from birth, he lived life to the fullest and was able to excel beyond anyone’s expectations. His life was a masterclass in kindness, joy, faith, and human connection. His passing leaves an immeasurable void, the love he gave so freely continues to shine in the lives of those who were blessed to know him.
May his memory be for a blessing.
