Jeffrey Korostoff, of Northeast Philadelphia, passed away on January 31, 2026.
Jeffrey was a proud graduate of Temple University and later earned his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He practiced law for many years until disability required his retirement. Following his legal career, he found joy and purpose in contributing artwork as a volunteer with Magee Rehabilitation Therapy.
A dedicated Philadelphia Phillies fan, Jeffrey especially treasured attending the 1980 World Series with his brother-in-law, Murray Lublin, where the Phillies won the championship. He loved walking in Center City, visiting Reading Terminal Market, and collecting sports books. His favorite meal was veal parmigiana, and he was a lifelong fan of The Beatles.
Jeffrey had a deep love for animals, especially cats, and was a devoted “cat daddy” to his two beloved companions Tiger and Prince. He shared a deep connection with his cat Muffin that passed away. He cherished spending time with his niece Dawn, frequently praising her cooking, and maintained a long-standing, meaningful friendship with Howard Clyman. He was a member of OCJCC, later known as Adath Jeshurun.
He is survived by his loving family: his sister, Arlene Lublin; niece, Dawn Lublin (Thomas Jones); nephew, Jordan Lublin (Shoshana); great-niece, Moriah Lublin; and his best friend, Howard Clyman. He was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Korostoff; mother, Doris (Pepperman); brother, Burton Korosroff and brother in law, Murray Lublin.
A Graveside Funeral service will be held Friday, February 6, 1:00 PM precisely at Mount Sharon Cemetery, 502 E Springfield Rd, Springfield, PA 19064 on Friday, February 6, at 1:00 PM.
Donations in Jeffrey’s memory may be made to the Magee Rehabilitation, 1513 Race St, Philadelphia PA 19102 or to a charity of one’s choice.
