Jay Richard Moore, MD, June 10, 2023. Dr. Moore was born in West Chester, PA, and graduated from West Chester High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Harvard University in 1957. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Medical School in 1961 and received postgraduate training in internal medicine and nephrology, all at Graduate Hospital. He was Chief of Nephrology at Graduate Hospital from 1972 to 1983, where he earned four annual Farrell awards for outstanding teaching. From 1983 to 1995, Dr. Moore was the team internist for the Philadelphia Eagles. Until the time of his death, he was a staff member of Temple Physicians Incorporated and was chief of the section of general internal medicine at Jeanes Hospital. He was designated Internist of the Year in 2007 by Temple Physicians Incorporated. Dr. Moore was an active member of Kesher Israel Congregation in West Chester, a synagogue founded by his grandfather, Harry Ginsburg, along with a few members of the early Jewish community of the borough. Relatives and friends are invited to Graveside services Tuesday 1 P.M. precisely at Mt. Sharon Cem., Springfield, PA (Sec. N).
