DR. J. MARVIN "MARVELOUS MARVIN", 81, on May 24, 2014. Very beloved husband of Dene (nee Samitz), his "Dene Darling". The best father to Rachel and Ronnie Leopold, Lisa Bloom Billings and L. Stephen Bloom (Linda). The adored poppy of Jen, Bryan (Hayley), Scott, Alex and Ben. Dr. Bloom was a well known optometrist and contact lens specialist in the tri-state area for over 40 years. He was a violinist and played with several area orchestras. He was the recipient of Congregation Or Ami's "Volunteer of the Year" award in 2010. A jack of all trades and master of all, handyman, foreman at Benex LC. He was 'The Champ' as he conquered his many medical problems with such courage and strength. He was a great role model and hero to everyone who knew him. He was known for his honesty, kindness, intelligence, morality, giving, love and strength of character…a true mensch. We are all so lucky to have had him in our world. Graveside Services 11 A.M. on Wed., May 28, 2014 at Shalom Memorial Park, 101 Byberry Rd., Huntingdon Valley and returning to the Leopold home. Shiva at the Leopold home on Wed. 7 P.M. and at Marvin's late residence Thurs and Sat. at 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, a contribution in Marvin's name, to a charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
