Isadore E. Axler, 89, of Plymouth Meeting, died May 23, 2004. Mr. Axler was a financial administrator for the Veterans Administration. Prior to that, he was comptroller for Frankford Arsenal. After his retirement, he was vice president of finance at Cabrini College. He was a graduate of the 158th class of Central High School and received his masters degree from Temple University and worked towards his doctorate. He also attended the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He was an Army veteran of WW II. Survivors: Wife, Edith (Bierbaum) Axler; daughter, Harriet A., wife of Jay Apfelbaum; son, Dr. Richard P., husband of Cindy (Hagley) Axler; brother, Nathan Axler. Services: noon Thursday, Goldsteins Rosenbergs Raphael Sacks, 6410 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia. Interment, Montefiore Cemetery, Jenkintown.
