Irwin Burstein

Irwin Burstein aka Michael Burke, born on December 2, 1932, in Moores Plains, New Jersey, passed away on March 20, 2026, in Boynton Beach, Florida. His life was marked by the laughter, love, and dedication he brought to those around him. Bunky was a young soul, the pool man, family man, and life of the party.

Michael was the beloved husband of Gail Lange. Loving father of Debra (Mitch), Cindy (Stephen), Joy (Mark), John (Susan), and Ingrid (Scott), each of whom carry forward his legacy in their own lives. Pop Pop of Derek (Sarah), Tabitha, Cole (Laetitia), Maris (Frank), Alec (Nicole), Jordan (Emma), Noah, Zane, Matt (Ilana), and Tamara (Ashley). Great Pop Pop of Avri, Rylee, Hayden, Zoey, Caleb, Hazel, Rafi, and Eliza. Pops was son of Charles Burstein and Anne Burstein, and brother of Edward.

He was an entrepreneur who endeavored to create a pool company with his wife Gail at the age of 68, and was able to turn it into one of the largest companies to install fiber glass pools, winning a sales award 2021 in the state of New Jersey. A family company, it has been passed to his grandson Derek who has continued to grow the company making Michael so proud.

Family and friends are invited to his Funeral Service on Thursday, March 26, 2026, 1:30pm at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Funeral Directors Suburban North, located at 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, Pennsylvania, 18966. At the family's request interment will be private.
