HERMAN
IRVING B.
Age 84, of Lower Merion Town-ship, died on Tuesday (May 8th) in Lankenau Hospital.
Herman is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joan (Perez) Herman; and 3 children, Holly J. Herman, Wayne PA; James B. Herman, Rosemont PA and John S. Herman, Greenwich CT. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren.
Born in Philadelphia on Feb. 15, 1934, a Central High School graduate, he graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1956. While at the University of Pennsylvania, he was a brother in the Sigma Alpha Mu (Sammy) Fraternity.
In 1960, he formed his own accounting firm, Irving B. Herman CPA and Associates in Center City, and practiced there until 2017. Herman developed a specialty of representing restaurants and physicians.
Known for his warm wit, generosity and love of people, Herman loved to meet new people or old friends on the Boardwalk at the Jersey shore.
