IRVING DUBIN

Irving Dubin, passed away in the early morning, Sunday, April 26th . Born November 7, 1929 to Bella and David Dubin, and raised in Philadelphia, Irving went on to join the Army and served his country in Europe during the Korean War. Once back he married the love of his life, Arlene, and they moved to New Jersey where he opened The Family Shoe Center. He became a local institution for parochial schools, and for all members of the family. And he was devoted to his children, always bringing us the latest Buster Brown give-aways as soon as they arrived. He then went into the wholesale shoe business and made many life-long friends there and elsewhere. He had an easy smile, except when watching the Phillies lose a game. Once he retired from the shoe business, he promptly found work as a bus monitor for local schools. He took pride in being a hard and devoted worker in every job he ever had. He and Arlene loved to go out to eat, and enjoyed many meals of international cuisine together, and with their children when they visited. They played cards daily for the last years of their marriage, before Arlene died a little over two years ago. He missed her every day after. He moved into Abramson Senior Living for the past two years where he received excellent care. Our dad will be missed. His bad jokes and his big smile will no longer, in turns, have us groan and laugh. He was loved. And he loved his friends and family. We will miss him. Irving is succeeded by his four children, Sharyn Feldman, Janet Zinn (Larry Zinn), Chova Sara Marks, (Neil Marks), Joel Dubin (Kelly Anthony), 12 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren, 3 in North America and 18 in Israel. Donations are being accepted in his name at Abramson Senior Care Foundation. https://www.abramsonseniorcare.org/donate/
