Irene Urbach

Irene Stengel Urbach (nee Weiner) on February 2, 2023. Irene was born to Ester & Charlie Weiner on June 30, 1936. She grew up with 3 brothers that she loved. She went to work after losing her father at 8 years old. She was married by Rabbi Isaacson in 1958 to Benjamin Stengel and they started a business together. She was widowed in 1974. She had a business for 50 years in New Castle Farmer’s Market and remarried to Hans Urbach.

She cared about everyone. If someone didn’t have clothes, she would give them clothes from her store. She gave donations to everyone. When her family was around it made her happy. She was a loving mother & took care of her child like she would do without, so her daughter Jen could have. She taught her children to love and what the meaning of caring was about. She loved the casinos, bingo, & her family. She will be missed by so many. She was always cared for at the end of her life by her daughter Jen and son in law Mike Hislop.
