Irene "Renee" Epstein

Irene "Renee" Epstein, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away on January 7, 2026, in Delray Beach, Florida, at the age of 88. Born on June 28, 1937, in Philadelphia, she lived a life full of compassion, dedication, and love that deeply touched those around her.

Renee devoted her time and energy to serving her community, notably as a cemetery secretary, a role that allowed her to help people navigate through their grief during some of life's most challenging moments. Her warmth and understanding provided comfort to many, and her contributions will be remembered and appreciated for generations to come.

Her greatest joy came from her family. She was a beloved mother to Jason Austin (James) and David Austin. The love she had for her grandchildren, Jared Austin and Kate Austin, knew no bounds. Renee’s spirit will undoubtedly live on in their hearts and memories.

Renee was not only a devoted mother but also a proud twin sister to Rhoda Bermon, and she maintained a strong connection with her siblings throughout her life. Her sister, Joan Jones-Silverman, along with her husband Pete Jones, was also an important part of her life; as well as her sister Micki Boyer who passed many years ago and together they created numerous memories that will be cherished.

In recognition of Renee's life, a graveside service will be held at Shalom Memorial Park in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, on January 19, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM. Family and friends are welcome to gather to honor and remember the remarkable life of Irene "Renee" Epstein, a woman whose legacy of love and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
