IAN, age 53, died suddenly March 1, 2012. Born in Bad Candtadt, West Germany, survived by wife Tess, daughters Molly and Margaret, mother Pamela Judson Rhodes, father Walter L. Hemphill, sisters Deborah and Nina, and brother Waide. A lawyer and Delaware County Community College instructor, Ian was a member of Malta Boat Club. He volunteered for several years with the Committee of Seventy. Ian also volunteered with the Adaptive Rowing Program. He had many interests including WWII, Volvos and politics. Ian loved his wife and daughters most of all. A member of Central Philadelphia Monthly Meeting, a Memorial Service will be held there March 31 at 2 P.M. (15th and Cherry Sts).
