HYMAN, May 1, 1916-January 2, 2014. The youngest of 7 seven brothers, he is survived by his devoted wife, Shirley (nee Rackoff), and daughter, Karen Horowitz (David Bruce Greenwald). He was the husband of the late Sarah (nee Elfont). Hyman was a veteran, serving during World War II, and he became a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force Reserves. A Temple University graduate, he was an entrepreneur, an accountant, worked for the City of Philadelphia Auditing Department, and always performed community service. Known for his dry sense of humor and quiet generosity, he was an avid Philly sports fan. Services private.
