HILDA (nee Lickstein)
Jan. 24, 2017. Wife of the late Harry "Hesh". Mother of Lois (the late Raymond Jr.) Beamesderfer and Sidney (Ruth) Rosenblatt. Grandmother of Raymond Beamesderfer, III and Anna and David Rosenblatt. Born on 2nd St. in South Philly, she never left her roots. She was dancing the "Mummers Strut" at her 90th birthday party where a string band was the entertainment. Hilda and Hesh were always the first to dance to the Mummers at events they attended during their 45 years of marriage. She spent her summers in Atlantic City for more than 20 years when her children Lois and Sidney were young. She later made Atlantic City her home where she enjoyed playing Blackjack a little too much. Hilda and Hesh were active members of the Steuben Lodge and the Freedman Post 706 of the JWV. They always coordinated all of the events to benefit children with special needs. Hilda was known as a true, loyal and generous friend to all who knew her. She was fun loving and always enjoyed a good party. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed her family and all who knew her.
