HERBERT GREENBERG, Aug. 22, 2014, 80, of Rydal PA, beloved husband of the late Lenore London (nee Levin), beloved father of Lauri Beth London (Jason Siner) and Shanna Marlene London (James Lees), beloved PopPop to Haley and Logan Lees and Casey and Samantha Siner, beloved step-brother to the late Marlene Kleinman (nee Greenberg), beloved brother of Irene Tarken and beloved Uncle and Great Uncle Herb to numerous loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Herb lived in the Philadelphia area and graduated Central High School in 1951. He was a teacher in The School District of Philadelphia where he taught French and history. He was an active member of Congregation Adath Jeshurun (Elkins Park, PA) and enjoyed singing with friends in AJ's choir for many years. He loved sports, especially baseball, the outdoors, good conversation, and music. A favorite pastime in the summer was spending times at the Jersey shore with his family, taking long walks and body surfing in the ocean.
He will also be greatly missed by countless friends for his sharp wit, great sense of humor and his kind and loving nature.
Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services Sunday 10 A.M. at Montefiore Cem., Jenkintown, PA. Contri-butions in his memory may be made to Congregation Adath Jeshurun, 7763 Old York Road, Elkins Park, PA 19027.
