Helene Stolker-Feldman, nee Heffler, passed away on September 18, 2025, at the age of 86. She was the beloved wife of Jerry Feldman, and her departure is deeply mourned by her family and the community and many dear friends.
Helene was devoted mother to Risa Stolker, Paula Ives, Leah Jordan, and Robert Stolker and a loving stepmother to Jackie and Brad Feldman. A cherished grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and a great-grandmother to Rylie and Austin Kerr, as well as Braydon and Blake Feldman. Helen was predeceased by her parents, Isabel and Jacob Heffler, and brother Melvin.
Helene was recognized as an ardent Zionist and was actively involved on the boards of numerous local and national charities. Her commitment to community service touched many lives. For several decades Helene was a dedicated Democrat committee woman; and was a Pennsylvania delegate to two Democrat National Conventions.
In 1959 she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where she had contributed to the university’s radio station, WXPN. During her time at Penn, she was actively involved in sports, participating in both girls’ basketball and volleyball teams. Helene also graduated from Gratz College, from which she shared her passion for education by teaching Hebrew School at Temple Beth Zion. At the age of 40, in 1970, Helen became a licensed pilot, enjoying recreational flying for many years.
