Harvey grew up in the East Mount Airy section of Philadelphia. He graduated from Germantown High School and from Temple University with both an undergraduate and master’s degree.
Harvey taught math at various grade levels for over 30 years at Cheltenham High School. He loved working with kids and teaching difficult math concepts, and he would also tutor students.
