June 8, 2018. Husband of the late Edith. Father of Alan G. (Lois) Urkowitz and Sally (Arthur) Ettelman. Grandfather of Michael Ettelman (fianceé Tarin Hart), Amanda Ettelman (Dmitry Kushnir), Rachel Cotte and Hannah Urkowitz (Tyler Cooney). Great grandfather of Eliana and Hunter.
Hesh served in the Eighth Air Force during WW II. He earned a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and MS and PhD degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. He had a long and distinguished career in the Aerospace Industry researching radar and digital communications and was known as a fine teacher and mentor.
