Harriet Stein (née Feldman) of Richboro, PA, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Harriet was a caring and devoted wife, mother, mom-mom, aunt, cousin, and a treasured friend to many. She was the daughter of the late Pearl (Leopold) and Nathan Feldman, sister to Janice (Jeffrey Miller), and sister-in-law to Frances and Irwin Stein. Harriet will be dearly missed by her beloved husband of 61 years, Tyler; her cherished children, Abbee Michelle Thomas and Paul Lenard (Yvette) Stein; her two grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Weston Lee Thomas and Michael Charles Brown; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. A retired Special Education teacher, Harriet dedicated 35 years to the School District of Philadelphia, forming lifelong friendships. She was also highly active in the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers union, serving as an organizer and building representative for many years. Harriet could always be found as part of the "four-of-a-kind" having breakfast with her best friends at local favorites like Jake’s, Robin Hood, and the Suburban Diner. During her retirement, she became an expert at finding the best turquoise jewelry at local thrift shops and scouting the sales at Boscov‘s. She dedicated her life to her family and especially enjoyed traveling with her husband, Tyler, during the summers. Harriet was a proud graduate of Northeast High School (Class of 1960) and earned her degree in Special Education from Temple University (Class of 1964). She continued her education by earning a master's degree from Bloomsburg University. Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services on Sunday at precisely 11:30 AM at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors Suburban North, 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA 18966. Interment will follow at King David Memorial Park, 3594 Bristol Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020 (Section K). Shiva will be observed on Sunday only at her late residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pennsylvania Branch of the International Dyslexia Association (PBIDA) https://pa.dyslexiaida.org/ or The Reading Clinic.
