HARRIET CANADY

Passed away on Jan. 5, 2019 at the age of 91. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Soffa, cofounder of Kulicke and Soffa Industries, Inc, and devoted sister to the late Albert Canady. She is survived by son, Mark (Kristine) Soffa of Phila. and daughter Carol (Ben) Baldridge of Flourtown. She will be sadly missed by grandsons Jacob (Kristina) Baldridge, Samuel (Molly Sumner) Baldridge and David Soffa, granddaughters Julia and Emily Soffa, great-grandchildren Henry Baldridge and Georgia Baldridge.
Harriet volunteered with her mother, Eva, in visiting Jewish patients weekly at the Inglis House with Jewish Chaplaincy Service of Phila. Harriet joined the Inglis House Board of Directors in the 1970's, and also served on the board of the Jewish Publication Society in the 1970's and 1980's. Both Buddy and Harriet were big supporters of Israel and became very active with American Associates of Ben Gurion University, with Harriet serving as president of the Mid Atlantic Associates of Ben Gurion.
Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services, Monday, 11 A.M. precisely, at Har Zion Temple, 1500 Hagys Ford Rd., Penn Valley, PA. Int. Har Jehuda Cemetery. Shiva will be observed Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at the home of Mark and Kristine Soffa. Contributions in her memory may be made to AABGU, PO Box 1128, Jenkintown, PA 19046.
