Harriet Hornick (nee Luskin). It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harriet on the 20th of February 2023. She was 84 years old. predeceased by her parents, Rose and Irving Luskin. Survived by her spouse, Robert. Also, her Cousin Jane Diamond and her son Roy Diamond. Harriet held an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a graduate degree in Healthcare Administration as a member of Wharton School - Class of 1973. She also held a law degree from Temple University. Harriet began her career in healthcare administration. She served as Assistant to the President of Penn Dental School and Vice President of Moss Rehabilitation Hospital. Later in her career she was a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association and she practiced law. She treasured her days at Penn undergraduate school, and as Co-President of her Class Alumni Association, she enjoyed participating with her former classmates in Alumni activities. Harriet was an avid tennis player. She had played on the grass tennis courts of Germantown Cricket Club for over 35 years. As an excellent Bridge player, Harriet played on the Germantown Cricket Club Bridge Team. Her bridge playing also included the Bridge Club of Center City, the Philadelphian Bridge Club and many Bridge tournaments. In recent years, Harriet had done volunteer work at the Barnes Museum. As lover of art, Harriet, purchased art and attended art museums regularly. Harriet and her husband enjoyed travel, and that included their annual fall trips to Paris. Harriet was an accomplished cook, and enjoyed going to interesting restaurants with friends in Philadelphia and exploring new eating places when traveling. Harriet brought her special talents including the uncanny ability to remember names and faces, an artistic touch, to all her endeavors. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, her relatives, her classmates and her friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Graveside services Sunday 11 A.M. precisely at Montefiore Cem., Jenkintown, PA. Contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
