Harold B. Wagner O.D., aka, "Hal" passed away on January 26, 2022 following a long battle with a chronic medical condition complicated by COVID. Born on July 4th in Philadelphia, PA to Annette and Joseph Wagner who preceded him in death. Hal lived his formative years in Philadelphia where he graduated from Central High School Class of 1969. He did his undergraduate studies at Penn State University and returned to Philadelphia to continue with postgraduate studies at Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
He enjoyed spending time with his many friends, most of which were from childhood. He had a great passion for music, especially the Grateful Dead, who he would follow from Philadelphia to Washington D.C. He was a huge Phillies fan and was at Citizen's Bank Park with his friend when they won the World Series in 2008. One of his greatest adventures was going on a cross-country road trip with a close friend.
Hal lived in Bethlehem, PA and practiced optometry until his retirement in 2018. He was admired for his fun-loving ways and devotion to his family and friends. His nieces and nephews remember him for his fireworks displays on July 4th, his birthday.
His memory will be cherished forever in the hearts of his sisters, Sara Potter, (Larry), and Debra Simon, (Paul), his three nieces, two nephews, one great-nephew and numerous friends.
