
Gloria Kremer Gloria Kremer, a life long Philadelphian, died of a sudden heart attack on Oct. 3, 2013. She was born as Gloria Fanette Lorch on April 30, 1924, to Louis and Pearl Lorch in the Tioga section of Philadelphia. She graduated from Gratz High School and completed one year at Temple University when she had to withdraw after her father died. She served in the USO during WWII. She married Jack Haaz in 1948 and had two children with him-Robert and Richard Haaz. After a divorce, she married Albert Kremer and had one child in the marriage - Randi Kremer. Her marriage lasted more than 40 years. Mrs. Kremer had five grandchildren. Richard and Jennifer Haaz's Benjamin (33), Samuel (30), and Chloe (26), and Randi Kremer's Brad (14), and Wesley (12). Mrs. Kremer's professional career was devoted to entertaining children as a musician, storyteller, composer and author. She composed a musical adaptation of the "Pied Piper" which was performed by Gene London at the Academy of Music and was recently re-created at Hedgerow Theatre in Media. She originated and performed two television shows, "Horatio and Me" and "Captain Noah", on, KYW TV. She performed puppet shows at Lit Brothers, Gimbels, John Wanamakers, national auto and trade shows, wrote educational books and copyrighted original children's music. She also was a columnist at the Evening Bulletin and the Philadelphia Inquirer after she started a new career as an international travel writer where her work appeared in dozens of national publications. Funeral services were held at Goldstein's Rosenberg's, 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA (215) 927-5800, on Sunday, October 6, 2013, at 11:am. The family will receive guests at the home of Richard and Jennifer Haaz, 2012 Hilltop Road, Flourtown, OA 19031 from 3-9p.m. that same day. Her music, puppet shows, writing and songs entertained countless audiences.
