GLADYS, April 6, 2011. It is with sadness that we mourn the passing of this remarkable woman following her third bout with cancer. She was a pillar of strength and stood tall throughout her long career and took a leading role as the Brokerage Manager for Phoenix Mutual Life Ins. Co. Keystone Agency in Philadelphia, PA. During her career she earned many awards for her excellence. Just to name a few on the list is the Phila. Life Underwriters "Welcome to our President for 1993-1994." The PALU Presidents Day award for "Leadership in 1999." The PALU's recognition of "Enthusiastic support" in 1999. The PALU's Teddy Bears for donations to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. She mentored many along the way and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Sharon Cooper, as well as many dear family members, friends, and business associates. A Memorial and Celebration of her life will be held Sunday, May 22nd from 12 Noon - 4 P.M. at the William Penn House Community Room - 1919 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
