GERTRUDE GUBIN

Gertrude (nee Simkin) Gubin, July 6, 2019. Wife of the late Irvin Gubin, loving mother of the late Ellen Gubin Ginsberg (Steven) and Jill Gubin Diamond (Joel), grandfather of Jonathan Eric Ginsberg and Allison Jennifer Diamond, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Simkin. Gertrude was raised in a household where Yiddish was the main language, speaking and writing fluently. While residing in the Overbrook Park section of Philadelphia with Irv, she was an active member for over 60 years at the local community congregation of Beth T'fillah, including president of the sisterhood for a number of years. "Gitzi", as she was known to all her relatives and friends, traveled the world with Irvin, including being member Travel Club of the Kaiserman JCC. Thousands of students who attended Lamberton school may remember Gertrude who worked as a secretary for over 30 plus years. Gertrude spent her last years at Brandywine Estates of Haverford and was a much-beloved member of the community. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Graveside Services Thursday, July 11, at 11 AM precisely at Har Jehuda Cemetery (sec. DC-3), 8400 Lansdowne Avenue, Upper Darby, PA 19082.
