92, passed away peacefully April 9, 2018, at the Abramson Center, surrounded by family and loved ones. Most famously known as Gerrie Dean, singer, Gerrie was born Geraldine Smigel in Harrisburg, PA. A graduate of Gratz High School in Philadelphia, Gerrie married Max Cohen and is now survived by her four children: Linda Richman (Cohen / Hassan), Leslie Cohen, Audrey Cohen (Colish / Murray), and Jay Cohen. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren: Shira and Rachael Hassan, Chelsie and Tyler Cohen, Jaime Essahgian (Colish), Yosef Colish, Max Colish and Yiska Simcha Yacova Guigui (Mandy Colish). Gerrie was blessed with 17 great-grandchildren. After Max's passing in 1979, Gerrie married Jack Keller in 2006.
Funeral services will be held at Abramson Center Sanctuary, North Wales PA, Wednesday, April 11th, 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be for the Abramson Center for Jewish Life or the American Technion Society. Shiva is set to take place at the home of Linda Richman, 20 Conshohocken State Rd. Bala Cynwyd PA.
