Gerald "Jerry" Claver

Gerald “Jerry”, December 13, 2024, of Lake Worth, Florida, formerly of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Devoted and loyal husband of the late Claretta (Keiser) and the late Louise (Moll). Beloved and cherished father of Irisse (Arthur) Ackerman and April (Gary) Albert. Loving and proud grandpa to Corey Albert, Steven (Ellie) Tobochnik, Howard (Hadar) Tobochnik and great grandpa to Cora, Semira and Ari. Also survived by Louise’s daughter Andrea Tobochnik.

The cherished son of Louis (deceased) and Ruth (deceased) and younger brother to Melvin (Marilyn, deceased). He is also survived by his nephew Alan and niece Lisa (Eric) and two grandnieces and a grandnephew. Jerry was proud to have served in the U.S. Army as a medic for two years in Alaska. He then graduated from Temple University School of Pharmacy and was a retired pharmacist. Jerry spent almost 27 years in Lake Worth, Florida, previously living in Overbrook Park. He loved painting pictures, especially landscapes and portraits of family and famous people. He enjoyed all things related to music (singing and especially dancing at social events). He was active in his Willow Bend community. For many years he was the official photographer for the Whisper newsletter, and he was the organizer of the weekly bocce group. Health and fitness were important to him his whole life. He was an avid swimmer, and he continued to exercise as he aged. Being a devoted friend and loyal neighbor brought him great joy. He was an active member of his community police watch in both Overbrook Park and Willow Bend. Jerry always looked younger than his age and he was always young at heart. Relatives and friends are invited to Graveside Services, Thursday 1 PM precisely at Montefiore Cem. (Sec. 18 E), Jenkintown, PA. Contributions in his memory may be made to JNF to support Israel, www.jnf.org or a charity of the donor’s choice.
