Gary Ira Rice

Gary Ira Rice, 69, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, died peacefully in his home on October 14, 2025. Born on March 15, 1956, in Philadelphia to Jesse and Florence (“Flossie”) Rice, Gary was known for his energy and sense of humor, as well as his love of music, drumming, and pinball. He drummed for many bands throughout his life, making many friends along the way. Gary is survived by his children, Casey and Connor Rice, and his sister Michelle Ventura (Alfred). A memorial service will be held in Gary’s honor at 10am on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Montefiore Cemetery in Jenkintown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gary’s honor to Carl Stewart’s Drums for Drummers Organization or a charity of your choice. Gary will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
