FREDERICK KARAFIN

Frederick Karafin was born to Harry and Betty Karafin on November 25, 1942. He graduated Overbrook High School in Philadelphia in 1960 and attended Saint Joseph University undergraduate program at night for business administration with a graduate program in education. Fred worked in business while serving as a US Army Reservist from 1964 to 1970. He earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. He became a licensed stock broker and was employed in New York City for many years. In later years, he enjoyed working in public relations. Fred became a member of Congregation Beth Or in 1986 and was President of the Men's Club (now called the Brotherhood). Fred is survived by his wife Gail and two sons: Matthew (Laurie) and Jonathan (Jennifer). Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services on Tuesday April 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Congregation Beth Or, 239 Welsh Road Maple Glen, PA 19002. Interment to follow at Mount Sharon Cemetery.
