Francine (Fran) Bitman, of Horsham, PA, and longtime resident of Jenkintown, PA and Naples, FL passed away peacefully on December 22nd at the age of 94. Fran was the daughter of Emanuel and Francis Lazar. She grew up in the Mount Airy section of Philadelphia and was a graduate of Olney High School. Fran was predeceased by her husband of 25 years, Dr. Harold Bitman, her husband of 17 years, Burt Serney and her sister, Marilyn Milstein (Gill).

She is survived by her sons Steven Nack (Vicki) and Gary Nack (Jodi), daughters Barbara Hochman, and Joni Highsmith (Robert), grandchildren, Jeremy Nack (Courtney), Bryan Nack (Lisa), Aly Canastrale (Mike), Jennie Forman (Brandon), Dylan Highsmith (Jessica), Jennie Cohn (Adam), Michael Hochman (Rachel Schwab), Leslie Gabaldon (Joey), 13 great-grandchildren and her niece Karen Sosonkin (Harvey).

Fran was at her happiest spending time with her family. She really loved making holiday dinners and was considered by all to be a fabulous cook. She also enjoyed painting with watercolors and received several awards for pieces that she entered into local competitions. Her paintings were frequently on display at The Horsham Center for Jewish life where she resided for the past 8 years. Fran was an accomplished Bridge player and also enjoyed a challenging game of Rummikub with her group of friends at her residence.

Her funeral at Shalom Memorial park will be private.
