Frances (Miller) Ferm, a Philadelphia native and longtime resident of Pompano Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully in Penn Valley, Pennsylvania on August 31, 2026. She was born on September 11, 1930.

Frances was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, neighbor, and friend. She lived a long and meaningful life defined by her deep love of family, enduring friendships, and remarkable ability to make others feel welcomed and cared for. She embraced many roles throughout her life, including her work as a dedicated bookkeeper, but she will be remembered most for her kindness, generosity, and gift for forming genuine, lasting connections.

Frances was preceded in death in 1989 by her beloved son, Henry Ferm (“Hank”), whose tragic passing was an enduring loss. She carried Hank's memory with her always, honoring him through her unwavering love and devotion to her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Roxanne (Carlon) Bridges; grandson, Samuel Corcoran; granddaughter, Julia (Mark) Steadman; and great-grandsons, Henry, Anderson, Holden, and Declan, along with many extended family members and friends.

Among those who held a particularly special place in Frances’s heart were her dear friends Louisa O’Neil and Harvey Kushner. Over the years, their friendship grew into something much deeper—they became family to Frances. They shared countless memories, laughter, conversations, and special moments, and their unwavering love, friendship, and care meant the world to her. Frances cherished the life they shared and was deeply grateful to have them by her side.

For 36 years, Frances called Delphi Towers in Pompano Beach, FL home. She loved living on the water and cherished the community she found there. Her neighbors became dear friends and an extended family.

Frances will be remembered for her strength, resilience, and loyalty. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored, the friendships that enriched her life, and the many people whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
