Florence (Floss) Frances Fishman Solomon, age 86, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 30th in Wyncote, PA.
Florence was born in Philadelphia to Nathan and Ann Fishman on June 1, 1933. She graduated from Philadelphia High School for Girls and worked as an administrative assistant for the state of PA for 20 years. Florence later worked as an usher at the Kimmel Center and volunteered at various charitable organizations.
Florence is survived by her loving children Ricky Solomon of Boca Raton, FL, Lisa Hanson of Panama City, Panama and Donna Goldberg of Wyndmoor, PA. and her loving grandchildren, Jessie Solomon, Kristin Hanson and Tara Schlacterman as well as her sisters-in-law Ruth Fishman, Florence Solomon and the late Dorothy Solomon. In addition Floss is survived by many adoring nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her former husband Alvin Solomon, her loving brother Erwin Fishman and her beloved partner James Hendrix.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, 1:30 PM precisely, at GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL-SACKS SUBURBAN NORTH CHAPEL, 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA 18966. Burial will follow at Shalom/Forest Hills Cemetery.
FFollowing internment, mourners are invited to the home of Donna Goldberg, 7710 Queen St, Wyndmoor PA 19138 for shiva. Shiva will continue Monday evening from 5 to 8PM
