Florence S. Leace (nee Sbar), age 94, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2018.
Born in Camden, NJ, she moved to Philadelphia when she married. She was a past congregant of Shaare Shamayim (honored as woman of the year 1980), Verree and Welsh Roads, Philadelphia where she was an active member of the sisterhood.
She was an active volunteer throughout her life, including the Bernard L. Levinthal Chapter of B'nai Brith (honored as woman of the year 1980), the Henrietta Szold chapter of Hadassah; Jewish Federation, Aid for Friends, the American Diabetes Association and the Philadelphia Visitors Center.
She is survived by her children, Benjamin (Elyse) Leace and Mindy (Dr. Benjamin) Rosenblum and grandchildren Daniele and David Leace and Shaina and Hailey Rosenblum. Her husband, the late David Leace passed away on December 5, 1978.
