
Florence S. Kraus (nee Snyder), 90, passed away peacefully Monday, February 4, 2019 at Atria Memory Care in Philadelphia, PA.
She was born on October 31, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Benjamin and Lillian (Sackowitz) Snyder. She was preceded in death by her husband, Murray Kraus. Florence received her undergraduate degree from Hunter College, and her Master's Degree from Temple University. Florence was a retired teacher from the Philadelphia School District. She was also a Bridge Life Master, enjoyed playing tennis and golf. She also loved to travel the world. Surviving are 2 daughters Jan Kraus of Philadelphia PA, Debbie (Billy) Woolf of Harrisburg, PA, and a son Larry (Justine) Kraus of Fairfax, VA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. A private graveside funeral service will be held at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, New Jersey. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to a charity of your choice.
