Florence “Cookie” Abramowitz August 7, 1940 – May 1, 2026
Florence “Cookie” Abramowitz, age 85, passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2026.
Born to Leon and Bessie Rosen, Cookie lived a life defined by warmth, laughter, and an unwavering love for others. She was the devoted and cherished wife of the late Sam Abramowitz, who passed on April 29, 2016, and with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership.
Cookie was a beloved mother to Karen (Fred), Jeff (Lisa), and Eric (Lisa), and a proud, adoring grandmother to Adam Naids (Elena), Brandon Naids (Katie), Rachel Cohen (Ben), Bret Abramowitz (Jamie), and Callie Wink (John). Her joy only grew with the arrival of her great-grandchildren—Harper, Nora, Stella and Elijah—each of whom brought an extra sparkle to her eyes and heart.
For decades, Cookie was known as a compassionate, loving, and vibrant presence in the lives of all who knew her. In a reflection of her joyful spirit, she worked as a professional clown for many years—bringing laughter, comfort, and smiles to countless faces. That gift for spreading happiness was not just her profession, but her purpose.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures: cooking for those she loved, lively games of Bingo and Canasta, trips to the casino, and, above all, time spent surrounded by family and dear friends. Cookie loved deeply and wholeheartedly, and her energy and kindness left a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Her radiant smile, generous heart, and joyful spirit will be missed beyond measure and remembered always.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service Monday May 4 precisely at 11:30 A.M. at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Funeral Directors Suburban North, 310 2nd Street Pike Southampton, PA 18966. Interment Montefiore Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Cookie’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
