PAUL

ESTELLE (nee Resnick), 86, passed away on June 23rd. In her career and her personal life, she was a towering personality and a singular woman. From 1941 to her retirement in 1974, Estelle Paul was employed by the United States Army Electronics Materials Command as a Procurement Specialist. During her long and prestigious career, she received countless awards and was well known throughout the procurement world for both her extensive knowledge of contract law and also her skill and professionalism. At the pinnacle of her career, she was the highest-ranking female government official in the Signal Corps. Away from the office and in her retirement, Estelle's favorite subject was politics, and she loved to debate the hot topics of the day. She also gave to countless numbers of charitable organizations. Estelle was devoted to her family. She was extremely close to her dearly departed husband of fifty-three years, Dr. Phillip Paul, but also doted on the rest of her family - her dearly departed brother, Dr. Albert Resnick, her brother Daniel Resnick, who survives her, and her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. The world has lost a woman of monumental generosity of spirit, and all who knew her will be much diminished by her passing. Funeral services will be at 10 A.M. Sunday, June 25th at GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS SUBURBAN NORTH, 310 Second St. Pike, Southampton. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. The family requests that donations be made in Estelle's honor to the United Jewish Appeal.
