Eric Cherson

Eric Cherson, at the age of 77, passed away after a battle with many illnesses, including a rare blood infection, on November 6, 2025, in Horsham, PA. Eric was a devoted husband of Carol Cherson (nee Boxman). Loving father of Mollie Cherson Recenes (Benjamin). Beloved grandfather of Jacob and Israel Recenes. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Harry and Doris Cherson; his brother, Stanley Cherson; and his sister, Lola Cherson. Eric attended Union College and the University of Pennsylvania and did two years of service in the AmeriCorps VISTA program. Eric was a dedicated social worker who worked for 38 years, supporting and advocating for students in the Burlington County Special Services School District. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling with his family. He was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports. Eric will be missed by his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to the memorial service on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Suburban North, 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA, or to stream live via link. Shiva will be observed at the Cherson residence.
