Obituary

Enith Zaid Squillacioti (nee Glazer), 86, of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026, surrounded by her beloved husband of 45 years, Vincent Squillacioti, and her cherished fur baby, Benny.

Born in Philadelphia to the late Leon and Sarah Glazer (nee Leckerman), Enith grew up in South Philadelphia and graduated from Lincoln High School. She was preceded in death by her parents and her in-laws, Maria and Sebastian Squillacioti.

Enith lived a remarkable life filled with entrepreneurship and a deep love for people. She owned a staffing and personnel consulting business before becoming the owner and operator of Sneakin' Out, popular sneaker stores on South Street and Passyunk Avenue. Customers traveled from near and far to shop at her stores and experience her unforgettable personality. In her later years, Enith could often be found turning the page of a good book or running the blackjack tables at area casinos.

A lifelong learner who always wanted to be a teacher, Enith loved sharing knowledge and connecting with others. She was known for her gift of gab, fierce spirit, and unwavering strength.

Above all, Enith was a devoted wife and loving mom to her fur babies. She and Vince shared 45 years of love and partnership. Benny remained by her side until her final breath, and she is now reunited with her beloved pups Max, Ollie, Kuku, Paco, Zoe, and Harry.

She is survived by Vince, Benny, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 24, at 11 a.m. at Montefiore Cemetery, Jenkintown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Enith’s name to a charity of choice.
